Dan Fitzgerald is a Research Assistant with the Fund for Peace. He is a junior at American University studying International Studies and Economics. Prior to joining the FFP, Dan was an intern for the UN Special Envoy for Health in Agenda 2030 and for Malaria, where he worked extensively on programing their International Day of Peace initiative. Other previous internships Dan has done includes Human Rights Watch, The Global Language, and the Treasury Department. During his sophomore year of university, Dan was a Peace and Violence Research Lab Fellow, where he researched, wrote, and presented his work on the changing dynamics of conventional deterrence in conflict prevention. Dan works primarily on the Fragile States Index and Conflict Early Warning Assessment programs. |
