McKenzie Horwitz is a Research Assistant at the Fund For Peace. Prior to working at FFP, she interned at the U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration. At ITA, she conducted research on Sub-Saharan states which informed congressional action on the African Growth and Opportunity Act. Previously, she interned at ECOM AgroIndustrial and wrote employee development material on international business practices and the futures commodity market. During her undergraduate studies, she assisted with dissertation research on local food insecurity and the drafting of a textbook on international economic development. McKenzie holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Economics and International Studies from Texas A&M University.
