||Marcel Maglo is a Programs Manager at the Fund for Peace (FFP). Marcel manages conflict early warning and peace building programs at FFP, including the “Reacting to Early Warning and Response Data” (REWARD) program in the 15 ECOWAS member states — West Africa. Prior to joining FFP, Marcel was a Civil Affairs Officer in charge of Reporting and Analysis with the United Nations mission in Mali supporting the United Nations programs dealing with the restoration of state authorities, empowerment of civil society for effective participation and ownership of the Malian Peace and Reconciliation Agreement and the strengthening of grassroots populations’ capacity in conflict mitigation for peace consolidation. He has also held the position of Content Manager at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs where he monitored, integrated and analyzed information from multiple online databases, ongoing political crises, disasters and complex emergencies.
Marcel gained technical and program experience during his mediation case management in the U.S. court as a registered mediator and delivered mediation and facilitation training in Israel and in the Palestinian territories for refugee communities. Marcel hails from Togo, with extensive knowledge and experience in West Africa. Marcel is fluent in both English and French.
Marcel holds a Bachelor of Art in International Affairs and a Master of Science in Conflicts Management from Kennesaw State University in the U.S.
