Trace Carlson is a Research Assistant at the Fund for Peace. He works on the Reacting to Early Warning and Response Data in West Africa (REWARD) project, the 2018 Fragile States Index, and forthcoming USIP and FFP handbook about electoral violence mitigation in Nigeria. While completing his M.A. in International Relations, Trace interned with Aythos, a local NGO working with smallholder farmers in the Helambu region of Nepal. Trace was also a Global Food and Agriculture Studies intern with the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and a volunteer mediator with the Nashville Conflict Resolution Center while completing his first masters. Trace graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Conflict Management from Lipscomb University, as well as an M.A. in International Relations from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.
